Having drawn inspiration from the coat of arms of Qatar, the Qatar pavilion is architecture as a modern interpretation of the 4 elements that are at the core of the national emblem of the State of Qatar;
- the two crossed and curved swords, encompassing a Dhow and
- an island with two palm trees
