For the first time, ONE Championship is heading to Qatar for a magical evening of martial arts action with ONE 166: Qatar, to broadcast live from the Lusail Sports Arena.
The blockbuster event will be stacked with five World Title bouts and feature a captivating mix of international superstars and Middle Eastern heroes competing in high-stakes matches spread across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling.

With more than 400 million fans worldwide, ONE 166: Qatar is the world’s largest mixed martial arts contest and sits at the pinnacle of combat sport. It is endorsed by official partners Visit Qatar, Media City Qatar and Ooredoo – and will be held in partnership with beIN Sports. It’s the first time ONE 166 will be hosted in Qatar, again proving our country’s excellence in hosting diverse and exhilarating sports and entertainment. Competitors will fight for world titles in the following combat sports:
The sweet science of boxing uses only two points of contact: the fists! Believe it or not, throwing punches and jabs is considered by traditionalists as the most gentlemanly of combat sports.
A mix of other martial arts combat sports, MMA is a full-contact sport based on a brutal combination of punching, striking, grappling and mat fighting.
Thai Boxing, or the Art of 8 limbs, is now a global combat sport incorporating eight painful points of contact including punching, elbowing, kneeing and kicking, plus clinching, leg sweeping and body throwing.
With origins in 7BCE ancient Greece, all fighting in submission grappling happens at floor level, on the mat. It is like wrestling but incorporates other MMA elements, including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Judo and Sambo.
