Hala Summer

Hala Summer is Visit Qatar’s summer programme, running from 1 May to 30 September 2026. It is designed to offer enhanced value, flexibility, and a seamless, risk-free booking experience for travellers. 

The programme includes three main products;

A) Flexible Booking w/ Full Refunds

B) Kids Go Free

C) Kids Play Free & More

The programme runs from 1 May 2026 to 30 September 2026.

Everyone is welcome to stay at one of the ~100 Hotels participating in the program. Guests staying at one of these hotels will be directed to enjoy the benefits built into the VQ Wallet, which activates the 'Kids Play Free & More' product.

Yes, the programme is available to visitors to and residents of Qatar, and to Qatari ىationals; anyone staying at one of the participating hotels listed on the Visit Qatar  Hala Summer webpage.

“Kids Go Free” is one of the programme’s offers, allowing children under the age of 12 to stay and enjoy selected benefits at the around 100 participating hotels, as well as access selected experiences across Qatar. Participating hotels and experiences are listed on the Visit Qatar Summer webpage.

Visit Qatar, with its partners, offers a range of benefits for children under the age of 12 across selected entertainment venues, museums, cultural sites, theme parks, and events.

All offers are subject to the individual terms and conditions of each venue.

This refers to a flexible booking framework offered by Qatar Airways and participating hotel partners, allowing travellers to modify or cancel bookings free of charge within 24–48 hours prior to departure or check-in, subject to individual partner terms and conditions.

Each paying adult allows 1 child to benefit for free. There is no limit to the number of adults or children.

Bookings can be made through one of the following channels;

1) Our partner Qatar Airways Holidays (QRH) landing page, which you may access through the 'Book Now' on the Visit Qatar Summer page.

2) Our travel partners, such as: (https://www.wego.ae/en/destinations/qatar)

3) Directly with one of the participating hotels

Offers can be accessed through the VQ Wallet, which becomes available once a booking at a participating hotel is activated upon check-in.

VQ Wallet is Visit Qatar’s official rewards programme. Simply scan a QR code or tap NFC at partner hotels upon CHECK-IN to unlock exclusive offers; access is currently available only on the Visit Qatar Webpage. 

To access the Wallet, you’ll need a smartphone and a valid Qatar hotel booking confirmation, which acts as your access key — registration onto the Visit Qatar Webpage will be required post scanning the QR Code presented by the Hotel. Registration on the Visit Qatar Webpage will require the user's Name, Email Address used at the hotel, Hotel Name, Booking Ref #, Check-In & Check-Out Dates.

The VQ Wallet is free of charge.

Yes, shopping malls across Qatar will host activations, alongside a summer sales festival scheduled to take throughout the summer period alongside curated beach experiences suitable for all ages.

To redeem, open your VQ Wallet in your browser, select your offer, and show it to venue staff who will scan the QR code to confirm and provide your reward — the process takes less than 30 seconds.

No, once an offer is redeemed, it cannot be reused. However, if the guest stays with another hotel or renews their booking at the hotel they would be eligible for a new set of offers within the VQ Wallet.
