Hamad International Airport is about 14 kilometres from the city, so it will take you just 20 minutes by car.

Doha is one of the world’s safest cities, and you should have no problems exploring it on foot. There are plenty of walking routes dotted around the city – areas like the Doha Corniche, Msheireb Downtown and The Pearl-Qatar are particularly well-suited to pedestrians, with many museums and sights to explore.
It’s not expected of visitors to wear the traditional Qatari attire or be fully covered in Doha, but it's advised to wear modest clothing as a show of respect towards the local culture.
Throughout Qatar, drinking in public is prohibited. In Doha, you will find licensed restaurants, bars and hotels that sell alcohol to visitors over the age of 21.
