The prestigious Qatar Open was once again hosted at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, from 9 –15 February 2025. The tournament featured a star-studded lineup, including Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Coco Gauff, all vying for the coveted title in one of the season’s most anticipated showdowns.
Amanda Anisimova defeated Jelena Ostapenko in the final with a score of 6–4, 6–3 to win her first WTA 1000 title and the third of her career. Anisimova was the first unseeded champion since Elise Mertens in 2019 and it was the first time since 2015 that two unseeded players played in the final.
