Located north of Doha is the proudly Qatari Baladna farm. The country’s leading dairy producer and one of the largest cattle farms in the region, it houses around 24,000 cows in a comfortable and temperature-controlled environment where each animal is afforded the space to move freely. Cows are milked daily using the most advanced technology available. They provide a wide variety of products- cheese, laban, ayran, yoghurt, labneh, cream, desserts and of course fresh milk are produced in the most hygienic of settings. The farm offers a great opportunity for children to learn about dairy production in a healthy, state-of-the-art, compassionate environment.

Baladna Park is 2.4 million square metres of lush, manicured lawns and gardens and a popular family edutainment destination. It offers a plethora of exciting and interesting activities. The park has a zoo that houses dozens of species such as mini kangaroos, giant turtles, royal peacocks, alpacas, wallaby, emus, pigmy goats and sheep.

The park is designed to educate; therefore, each cage has graphic panels that inform visitors about the important characteristics of the animal. You can even visit the park’s state-of- the-art dairy farm and gain an insight into milk production.
