Citizens of over 95 countries are eligible for visa on arrival to enter the State of Qatar. Allowable lengths of stay vary, and visitors are kindly advised to check with an authorised entity for the terms and conditions that apply.
Travellers entering the State of Qatar for stay longer than 30 days are required to obtain health insurance with any insurance company that is registered with the Ministry of Public Health.

The validity of the Hayya Card has been extended and will now allow Hayya Card holders to enter the State of Qatar until the 24th of January, 2024.
Travel requirements:
- Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation or accommodation with family or friends approved through the Hayya portal
- Passport valid for no less than three months upon arrival in the State of Qatar
- Valid health insurance during the period of stay in the country
- Return tickets
All Hayya card holders visiting Qatar will have access to the following:
- The 'Hayya with Me' feature' allowing Hayya Card holders to invite up to three family members or friends
- A multiple-entry permit
- Use of the e-Gate system for entry and exit via State ports
- No fees will apply
Visiting Qatar made easy
Thanks to a host of visa facilitation measures, Qatar is now the most open country in the Middle East. Visitors from all around the world can now enter Qatar either by obtaining visa on arrival, or by filling out simple online applications, depending on the passport they carry.
This webpage is designed to keep you up-to-date on the visa policies that are relevant to you, and the process you need to follow to apply for a visa, if necessary.
Nationals of eligible countries do not require any prior visa arrangements and can obtain a visa waiver upon arrival to Qatar, by presenting a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months and a confirmed onward or return ticket. Please note that India, Iran, Pakistan, Thailand and Ukraine nationals need to hold registration booked through Discover Qatar website prior to travelling to Qatar.
For nationals of the countries listed below, the waiver will be valid for 180 days from the date of issuance and entitle its holder to spend up to 90 days in Qatar, during either a single trip or on multiple trips.

Similar to the countries listed above, nationals of India can enter Qatar visa-free and spend up to 30 days in Qatar, during single or multiple trips, if the following terms and conditions are met:
Pakistan
Similar to the countries listed above, nationals of Pakistan can enter Qatar visa-free and spend up to 30 days in Qatar, during a single or multiple trips, with an option to extend for another 30 days, if the following terms and conditions are met:
Iran
Irani passport holders can enter Qatar visa-free and spend up to 30 days in Qatar if they following terms and conditions are met:
Bangladesh
Holders of diplomatic passports from Bangladesh are exempted from obtaining a prior entry visa and can enter the country without a visa + stay there for a period of 90 to 180 days.
This visa is issued upon arrival and is valid for 30 days for the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman. It allows for multiple entry to both countries and is extendable for an additional 30 days for a fee. Citizens of the following countries are eligible for the joint visa:

Qatar Airways passengers transiting in Qatar for a minimum of 5 hours are eligible to apply for the Qatar Transit Visa. It is free of charge, valid for up to 96 hours (four days) and open to passengers of all nationalities**.

Nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates) do not require a visa to enter Qatar.
