Qatar joined the Formula 1® calendar in 2021 with the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix at Lusail International Circuit. Following extensive upgrades in 2023—including the world’s longest Formula 1® pitlane building (402.1m) with 50 pit boxes, expanded grandstands, and a new state-of-the-art paddock with premium hospitality suites—the circuit has redefined the race experience for fans and teams alike. With a long-term agreement securing the event through 2032, Qatar has cemented its place as a cornerstone of the sport’s future.
As one of only a handful of full-night races worldwide, the Qatar Grand Prix offers an unforgettable spectacle under the floodlights. Since 2023, the event has typically held the penultimate slot on the calendar, building anticipation for the championship finale.
