Qatar proudly hosts the WTA Open since 2001. Since then, it has become a topflight tournament which attracts the world's finest international tennis players. In 2023, the current single’s champion, Iga Świątek of Poland, had a resounding win, beating Jessica Pegula 6–3, 6–0. In the doubles, Jessica Pegula and Coco Guaff of USA were victorious. Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka have both won the tournament in Qatar twice.

Men’s tournament ATP 2024 Doha also welcomes the Qatar ExxonMobil Open from 19 to 24 February 2024. Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have all won multiple titles at the Qatar event in the men’s ATP tour. Daniil Medvedev of Russia is the reigning champion.
