A cutting-edge museum dedicated to children is set to open by Qatar Museums in 2026. Luckily you don’t have to wait until then – enjoy a great day out at the lush Dadu Gardens.
Dadu invites families to be part of a journey of learning through play. Inspired by building blocks, Dadu will feature a stunning exterior of interconnected blocks circling the museum's covered foyer. It will be a place that nurtures children's creativity and imagination with galleries, restaurants, cafes and activity rooms. In the meantime, explore the interactive Dadu Gardens – a ‘living classroom’, bursting with fun for kids 11 years and younger.
Al Bidda Park
At Dadu Gardens, visitors can explore water features, edible and community gardens, a mud kitchen for messy play and an amphitheatre. Look out for The Promise, a public art installation by the artist KAWS, and Garden Atelier – an indoor/outdoor space that hosts cooking workshops and events. The Permaculture Showcase is the beginning of what will eventually become Doha’s first City Centre Food Forest – an area dedicated to showcasing permaculture in action. Note: all adults must be accompanied by a child under 12 years, while children need to be accompanied by an adult above 18 years.
Almost 7,000 people visited Dadu Gardens during the FIFA World Cup 2022TM. Take a look inside the museum.
