Qatar will once again host the season-opening race of the new MotoGP season in 2025. Start planning your visit to Qatar for three thrilling days of World Championship racing at Lusail International Circuit.
In a break from tradition, the Qatar GP was not the season opener in 2023. Instead, the upgraded Lusail International Circuit hosted the 19th round of the 2023 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The race saw the Prima Pramac Racing team make history by securing the Teams' Championship.
Lusail International Circuit is situated 22 miles north of Qatar’s capital city, Doha. The circuit opened its doors in 2004, and in 2007, added permanent floodlights to facilitate evening races. Lusail International Circuit is 5.38 km long with 16 turns (10 right turns and 6 left turns).
Qatar has been host to motorcycle racing’s premier event since 2004. For almost two decades, enthusiasts from all over the world have flocked to witness MotoGP in Qatar.
