Qatar University offers this scholarship to the admitted students in the university who apply directly to the university. The nominated students may receive these scholarships during the Fall and Spring semester of the same academic year, though they are not allowed to transfer the scholarship to the next academic year. There are two types of these scholarships which are internal and external, the first for Qatar residents, the second for students from outside of Qatar. Benefits can include exemption from textbook and tuition fees, provision of accommodation and annual round trip air fare ticket.
Eligibility requirements: letter of acceptance from Qatar University and excellent high school grades, must be used in the same semester.
These scholarships include exemption from tuition fees and free accommodation from the University and are offered to students of GCC countries who hold the High School Certificate or its equivalent in their countries or any other country with the exception of Qatar. A number of scholarships are allocated to each GCC country. Such scholarships can be postponed to the second term in the same academic year, but not to the next academic year.
Eligibility requirements: must obtain letter from embassy addressed to Qatar University requesting consideration for this specific scholarship. Must meet course requirements.
The admission process to this scholarship is handled by the Scholarships and International Admissions Section in coordinating with the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Programme. The student can apply to this programme as a personal applicant or the student can be nominated by one of the organisations which have an established agreement with Qatar University and admitted by the President of Qatar University to grant scholarship on annual basis. The programme duration is one academic year.
The Qatar Foundation (QF) student fund, based on academic excellence goes across all the partner universities at Education City. Undergraduate students who have completed two semesters of academic study in Education City and have a GPA of 3.6 or above can apply for this highly competitive merit scholarship. The scholarship is renewed annually as long as the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.6.
Eligibility requirements: full-time student, completion of two semesters at an Education City campus, GPA of 3.6 or higher.
CMU-Q provides a world-class financial aid program to its admitted students. The QF CMU-Q need-based grant program provides grant aid to students of all nationalities through the Qatar Foundation. Grants (aid with no repayment) of up to the full cost of attendance are made to families based on their unique financial circumstances.
A limited number of merit scholarships are awarded annually to the most academically promising applicants. These awards can be combined with need-based grants from the grant programme. To be considered for merit scholarships, students should submit the grant application. Students are notified of any merit scholarship awards at the same time they receive their initial Financial Award Letter. Awards are made in a similar manner to admission decisions with a holistic process involving many factors.

Georgetown University in Qatar offers need-based grants each year. The CSS Profile is required to determine eligibility for a Georgetown University in Qatar grant and scholarship assistance. Students need to complete a CSS profile every year to determine eligibility for aid for the upcoming academic year, after which they will need to submit supplementary documentation. The CSS code for Georgetown University in Qatar is 4563.

Tuition waivers or partial scholarships are offered by Hamad Bin Khalifa University colleges on a competitive basis. Award letters are offered before admission and students accepting the awards are required to sign a scholarship agreement. Eligibility and conditions vary between each college/programme.

The university offers a limited number of highly competitive scholarships for students of exceptional scholastic achievement. These awards may cover up to 40 per cent of tuition costs. Students are automatically evaluated during the admissions process. Grantees will be informed of any awards in their acceptance letter from the University. There are also limited funds available for supplemental need-based scholarships. Interested students must apply for QF Financial Aid and U.S. Federal Aid (if applicable, more information on the link below) to be considered. Students who are interested must also complete the CSS Profile and provide the requested documentation.

Eligibility requirements: means-tested, 17-25 years old, available to legal residents accepted for study on a UDST credit program and not receiving other educational support.
