Aspire Park is one of the best places to enjoy a number of recreational activities and a fun evening with family and friends. Enjoy the lakes, stunning views of downtown Doha, kids’ play areas and jogging tracks, beautiful fountains and various kinds of flora such as the unusually shaped boab trees.
Evenings are filled with the sound of laughter and the aroma of perfect barbecues. Remember to visit the 300-metre Torch Tower, its observation deck and revolving restaurant afford magnificent views of the city.
Aspire Park is at Sand Trail, Doha
Located minutes from central Doha, Aspire Zone is marked by The Torch Doha, the 300m tall hotel which boasts panoramic views of the city. With world-class sports venues, a training academy, sports medicine hospital, turf research centre, as well as five-star accommodation, restaurants and entertainment, it is a compact destination for sport lovers. The vast green spaces of Aspire Park, spread over 880,00 m2, offer respite from the cityscape, with walking/running tracks, children’s play areas, a large lake, and Perceval, a public artwork by Sarah Lucas. Cafés and dining venues dot the area, while Villaggio Mall and Hyatt Plaza Mall provide more entertainment, dining and retail options.

Aspire Park is the largest public green space in the country

The park’s amphitheatre holds events on a regular basis
With is strikingly colourful flower beds, Souq Waqif Park is a botanist’s dream come true. It is one of the most spectacular places to wile away the hours. Minutes from the famous Souq Waqif, the park boasts picturesque views of the waterfront. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises and magical fountains. Football, badminton, biking and kiting are some of the activities guests enjoy. Spread your blanket for a relaxing picnic. In the evenings the park is beautifully lit and offers gorgeous views of fountains that provide fun for kids.
The park is near Souq Waqif
Many events take place in the park and the nearby Souq Waqif, including the Spring Festival, which revolves around acrobatics and dance performances. In July, you can feast on dates during the Local Date Festival.
The Museum of Islamic Art Park (MIA Park) offers all kinds of fun activities for kids with huge trampolines and a fantasy castle fitted with ropes, stairs and slides. It’s a truly family-friendly park for those seeking relaxation and fun. Rent a bicycle and ride along the paved pathways and relish the cool breeze. Partake in a fitness class. When you’ve worked up an appetite grab a bite at MIA café or from a food truck, before watching a movie at the open-air cinema. It comes alive during the cooler months from October to February. The park is famous for its MIA bazaar, cultural events and music performances.

Sheraton Hotel Park is one of the more popular destinations for family picnics, bike rides or to simply enjoy the eye-catching surroundings. A pyramid-shaped hill offering great views of West Bay and the Corniche are other stimulating features. Picnicking and cycling are some activities, along with football, basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis.
The park’s pathway gives the impression of being shaped like a labyrinth, offering fun and excitement for younger cyclers. With paddle-friendly pools, play areas, restaurant plazas, oasis gardens, and picnic lawns, the Park is even more vibrant at night, with lights that capture details such as sculptures, trees and streaming water.
Sheraton Hotel Park is in the West Bay area of Downtown Doha, adjacent to the Sheraton Hotel.
A pyramid-shaped hill is a magnet for adventurous youngsters.
5/6 Park has features not found in any other park in Qatar. The main attraction is the huge plant maze, created in the shape of the country’s map and influenced by human fingerprints. You will find the names of various coastal cities such as Ruwais, Dukhan, Umm Bab, Al Khor, Doha, Al Wakra, Mesaieed, and Salwa. You will also discover walls painted with vibrant murals. Twenty artists volunteered to embellish the walls. And you can’t miss conceptual artist Faisal Al Hajri Al Sumood’s stainless steel installation, ‘Symbol of Resilience’, designed to represent the strength of Qatar. Other features include a children’s playground, jogging track and bike track.
5/6 Park is near Al Qassar Metro Station, between Westbay and Katara
From the sky or from a building, the maze looks amazing, especially when illuminated
Katara Hills is a lush expanse on either side of Katara Cultural Village. It offers great views of the beach, Katara Mosque, Galeries Lafayette, the Pigeon Towers, and more. The gardens are divided into the Northern Hills and Southern Hills on either side of the village. Katara Hills makes for a very pleasant, scenic, peaceful walk.

Combining art galleries and workshops, theatres and performances venues, and exceptional restaurants choices, Katara Cultural Village is Doha’s destination for culture and entertainment. A central amphitheatre stands against a backdrop of traditional architecture and cobbled streets, and is the site of many cultural performances. Adjoining the main development, a spacious public beach offers water sports and equipment rentals.
Katara Cultural Village is easily accessible via car or a taxi (Uber is widely used, alternatively Karwa). The distance from Hamad International Airport is approximately 30 minutes.
Katara is also accessible by metro, Katara station, Red line.

If you're looking to enjoy the great outdoors, Oxygen Park is the place to be. Equipped with jogging trails, volleyball pitches, and several multi-purpose fields, it's the ideal place to gather with family and friends and work up a sweat.
To escape the heat, work out at night amid well-lit facilities. After, head for the gardens and picnic areas while kids have a great time playing among the waterfalls and in the playgrounds in the park.
Oxygen Park is located in Education City
Oxygen Park introduces a ‘green lung’ to the area, inviting visitors to refresh their mind, body, and spirit through active exercise.
With its unique diversity of plants and trees, Al Wakrah is one of the most attractive family parks in Qatar. It is an ideal place to marvel at the wonders of nature, surrounded by olive and palm trees. Take a dip in the cool pool; grab a bite at a café or restaurant; let the kids loose in the children’s zone. Home to seasonal flowers, ornamental plants and much more, Al Wakrah Park is very inviting indeed.
The nearby Souq Al Wakrah is a lively market where you can shop for souvenirs. With handmade goods for sale, the market's rustic setting will make you feel you’ve travelled back in time.
