The countdown for the 13th edition of the Doha Marathon has officially begun. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, or an aspiring first-timer, expect a warm welcome at the starting line of this world-class event. Bring the whole family for a day of fun, fresh air and feel-good fitness.
Whether you’re going the full 42-kilometre distance, opting for the 21 km half marathon or signing up for the 10 km and 5 km events, you’ll receive a goodie bag with a bespoke race T-shirt, bib number and timing chip. Visit the official website for expert advice on what event best suits you. We have 1km events for under-13s, so go ahead and register the whole family. Race packs will be available to collect between 14 and 16 January.
Inaugurated in 2013, the Doha Marathon has significantly grown, with over 15,000 runners expected to run this year. It holds a Gold Label status from World Athletics, offering global ranking points. The course follows Doha's iconic Corniche, finishing at Hotel Park (where it began). Participants with disabilities enjoy free registration to partake in distances up to 21 KM, and to encourage Qatari participants to enter, the popular Al Adaam category offers special cash prizes.
The total prize pool for the 2025 Doha Marathon exceeds QAR 1 million. Two Toyota vehicles will be raffled, with all race finishers automatically entering the raffle.
